A group of students specializing in “Chemistry and Health” in our Chemistry-Masterprogram at the University of Paderborn,Germany, have prepared the VIOXX-documentation as presented on the following web pages as part of their master studies. This project is embedded in our collaboration with Prof. Dr. Rainer Glaser on his CIITN-activities.

The Chemistry Is in the News project (CIITN) is meant to enable students to see the connections between the science and the world around us, to understand science and its role in society, and to use this knowledge in the evaluation and in making judgments about choices presented in everyday life.
We gratefully acknowledge that for the chemical part of our VIOXX-project the software package “MOE” was generously made available to us free of charge by the Chemical Computing Group (CCG).
