Our chemistry degree programmes at the University of Paderborn
Bachelor Chemistry
The Bachelor's degree programme in Chemistry comprises lectures, practical seminars and laboratory practicals in the basic and minor subjects of chemistry. Computer-aided theoretical chemistry (ThC) is introduced as early as the foundation course. In the 6th semester, students specialise in one of the subject areas.
With this degree programme, you will study a cross-sectional science from the fields of chemistry, physics and mechanical engineering. The degree programme offers an interdisciplinary education that lays the fundamental foundations in all three fields and enables graduates to work as "all-rounders" in science and industry.
The Master's degree programme is also divided into a compulsory and an elective area. In the compulsory area, in-depth chemistry topics are taught. These are applied in the elective area, which is characterised by special aspects of sustainability.
The new Master's degree programme in Materials Science combines the expertise of materials physics, materials chemistry and materials science as well as process engineering in an interdisciplinary merger of various faculties at Paderborn University.
