About us

Our research group is interested in development and characterization of functional materials for sustainable chemical processes. The establishment of non-noble metals as substitutes for noble metals as reactive components in sustainable processes is in the core of our scientific interests. New and effective materials are developed, synthesized and tested with respect to their activity. Active materials are further subjected to detailed investigations to understand their working principle with the final goal to improve their properties on a knowledge based approach. The applied methods (mainly at synchrotron radiation facilities) are continuously developed to match the requirements of the systems.
