Indonesian-German Polymerresearch Center (IG-PRC)
As part of the BMBF-funded joint project "BIOPHOB: Biogenic By-Products from Palm Fatty Acid Distillate as Hydrophobizing Synthesis Modules in Acrylate Dispersions for Coating Materials", the Indonesian-German Polymer Research Center (IG-PRC) was established at the Teknologi Bandung (ITB) Institute in Bandung, Indonesia. Central component of the IG-PRC is a high-tech synthesis laboratory, which has been equipped with high-quality polymer synthesis equipment from project funds, allowing the synthesis of polymers such as polyester, alkyd resins and polyacrylates is possible.
